Adam Binks is a multi award winning classical music producer, location sound engineer and editor, offering a variety of services to a wide range of clients in the music industry both in the UK and further afield. 

 

Working as a producer, engineer and editor for a multitude of releases, Adam has experience in every classical genre and with many combinations of musicians ranging from solo instrumentalists to chamber groups, choirs and orchestras.

A musician from age of seven, Adam has degrees in music from both Bangor and Edinburgh Universities, and a number of years' experience as a professional organist. In 2011 Adam founded the successful classical record label Resonus Classics, which he continues to manage, along with a second label, Inventa Records, launched in 2019 and specialising in early music.

Adam has won several awards and nominations for his production work including BBC Music Magazine Awards, and Gramophone Awards. He also has a substantial number of Editor's Choices and 5-star reviews to his name.

With an ever-growing rig for high resolution classical location recording, Adam is known for his calm and professional approach to recording sessions and post production, and the many challenges that they can present. Standard recording resolution is at 192kHz resolution and surround mixes up to Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 can also be provided.

 

Adam is equally comfortable working with other producers or engineers or working alone producing and engineering simultaneously. He is also an approved Apple Digital Masters (previously Mastered for iTunes) engineer and a full member of the Music Producers Guild.
